Discolored tooth what to do

I am fourteen year old and my dentist took out my nerve in my front tooth and it started to turn grey.The dentist said I can not do anything about that till I am 18. Is there anything I can do or to make it look better?

Answer: There is nothing you can really do about it yourself.  A dentist can put on a veener or crown over the tooth to make it look the same color as the rest of your teeth.  Not sure why he/she is saying you can not have that done until you are 18 unless your parents do not want to pay for cosmetic dental care services. (Note that can be costly since most insurance plans do not cover cosmetic dental care)
Therefore when you are 18 you can make your own choices on your dental care.
