New York Delta Dental vs Dental discount plans.

I see on your website you offer both insurance and dental discount plans for people who live in New York.   It is good to see that you offer both but I can see that your Delta Dental insurance plan is much more costly then any one of your discount plan choices.

I went looking for insurance but I thinking maybe getting a plan instead.  Can you tell me the pros and cons of both?  It will help me to make up my mind.
