Are family dental discount plans worth buying
I need some dental work done but my dental benefits does not pick up let until the beginning of next year. I would like to get a family dental plan until then but dental insurance is too costly and with the waiting periods I do not see that they are worth getting.
With that said dental discount plans seem good. Almost too good. So my question is, is there something I am not seeing that would not make a family dental discount plan worth getting? And if I get a discount plan am I committed to it for a year or can I cancel it once I get my dental benefits though work?

Most dental discount plans have monthly a well as yearly cost. Meaning if you buy monthly you can cancel the plan when your insurance is effective my sending in a 30 day written cancellation notice to the company.
There is nothing tricky about a discount plan. In fact they are as straight forward as they seem. Just make sure you have a dentist in the plan you want to go to before buying any discount dental plan.
