Dental teeth care, why do my gums hurt after brushing
So I brush my teeth around two to three times a day and my teeth are in very good health. I have no problems with then and no cavities. However recently when I brush my teeth my gums started hurting afterwords. Mostly on the top but a little on the bottom too. I have a soft tooth brush and I do not think I am brushing any harder then I normally would. Any ideas

You only talk about brushing are you flossing too? Remember in order to have good gum health flossing is key. Use mouthwash with gum or gingivitis protection. If your gums are still bothering you after a few days see the dentist to have them checked out.

Are your gums bleeding when you brush? if so you should go to the dentist and check to see if you have the start of gum disease or gingivitis. The earlier you catch it the better off you will be.

Go over your brushing and flossing habits. If nothing changed and you did not eat or do anything to irritate your gums either by food or hot liquid. I would see a dentist just to have things checked out. Better to be on the save side then worry about bigger issues latter on.
