Dental Insurance, I have both an HMO and a PPO dental insurance.
I have two dental insurance plans and I go to the dentist that is in my HMO dental plan. The dental office told me that they would be able to use both plans if I wanted them to. I am not sure how that would work. Are they just trying to get paid from two different companies for the same services?

No they are not trying to get paid twice. Their are offering to combine both plans in order to save you more money.
I have the same thing going my wife has the HMO for us and I have the PPO dental insurance for us. I found a dentist that takes both plans what they do is charge my PPO on the rate charge provided by my HMO dental plan.
This save me a bunch of money and I am really glad I found a dental office that knows what they are doing.
