Dental Insurance for braces, I have a slight Gap
I have a very slight gap between my front teeth. I have dental insurance but I am told by my dentist the only way to fix the gap would be either with braces or getting four veneers. Both costing in the end around the same $4500.00 or so.
Both choices are not covered under my current dental plan. I do not want to pay so much money for a slight gap but would like to get it fixed. Is there any dental insurance that can help me with this?

Since you are an adult finding dental insurance for adult braces may be hard I would look toward HMO dental plans. From what I seen they tend to offer adult braces more so then PPO
As for veneers they tend to be consider cosmetic dental services under dental insurance so once again can be hard to find an insurance plan that will cover for them.
Only thing that is left is a dental discount plan that would at least save you 20 percent or more as long as there is a dentist in their network that does the services you are looking for.

If it a toss up between braces and veneers get the braces. Why mess up good teeth to put veneers on them when braces will keep your teeth and just put them in the correct alignment.
You also may have better luck finding a dental insurance plan that offers you adult braces then you would finding one that covers for veneers.
However it is true a discount plan would save you money either way you choose to go. Good luck
